Day 3 : 13th November 2007
Now that you’re in Beijing, jot down any observations or reflections on your visit to the different place of interest in Beijing. How are these places similar or different to the places of interest in Singapore?
They were in a larger scale that preserved the “old look”, as compared to the old architectures repainted with modern colours in Singapore – A much more clearer and factual representation of the original architecture
Write about 3 interesting things that you have seen & learnt today
-China had the advantage in the battle against World War II Japan as they had help from all sorts of Western countries.
-The Japanese actually make the Chinese pay to get back their own land after surrendering.
-Mao Tse Tung’s potrait is cleaned daily and changed annually

Write about 3 interesting things that you have seen & learnt today
1) From the presentation of the traditional music instruments of China (中国民乐), I learnt a interesting and special instrument, it is shaped like an egg and have many holes in it!
2) We learnt gymnastic during lessons too. I was pleased that everyone participated actively.
3) Most of the students go to school by bicycle. I was shock ed when I knew that people in China also rode bicycle on road too.

Now that you’re in Beijing, jot down any observations or reflections on your visit to the different place of interest in Beijing. How are these places similar or different to the places of interest in Singapore?
1. People are friendlier.
2. Dirtier.
3. We learnt Taiji and Chinese Music and cultural dance.
4. Teachers friendly (Singapore also)

1. TianAnMen Square is damn BIG! The sides of the roads got some holes for “toilets” when there are any celebrations.
2. Chinese Maths standard is higher than Singapore! But their English a bit not as good(obviously). Then the Sec 2 Physics already learnt in Singapore. The art and PE lessons are INTERESTING!
3. Learn more on CO. Quite nice la!

The traffic in Beijing is busier than the traffic in Singapore. There are a lot more vehicles on the road.
Write about 3 interesting things that you have seen & learnt today
3 interesting things that I have seen and learnt today were swordplay during PE lessons, the learning of tai ji. The most interesting I seen is how the school operated. It is completely different from Victoria School.

The traffic in Beijing is busier than the traffic in Singapore. There are a lot more vehicles on the road.

3 interesting things that I have seen and learnt today were swordplay during PE lessons, the learning of tai ji. The most interesting I seen is how the school operated. It is completely different from Victoria School.
